Dosage

oral. 1. Herpes simplex on the skin and mucous membranes of patients who are newly treated for genital herpes and those with immune deficiency: The usual dosage for adults is 0.2g (2 tablets) once, 5 times a day, for a total of 10 days; or 0.4g (4 tablets) once, 3 times a day, a total of 10 days. 5 days; for recurrent infections, 0.2g (2 tablets) once, 5 times a day, for a total of 5 days; for chronic suppressive therapy for recurrent infections, 0.2g (2 tablets) once, 3 times a day, for a total of 6 months, if necessary The dosage can be increased to 0.2g (2 tablets) 5 times a day for a total of 6 to 12 months. 2. Herpes zoster: The usual dosage for adults is 0.8g (8 tablets) once, 5 times a day, for a total of 7 to 10 days. 3. Adult patients with renal insufficiency should adjust the dosage according to the table; (see the instruction sheet for details) 4. Chickenpox: For children over 2 years old, take 20mg/kg of body weight once, 4 times a day for 5 days. Start treatment immediately if symptoms appear. The usual dosage for children and adults over 40kg is 0.8g (8 tablets) once, 4 times a day, for a total of 5 days.

drug interactions

1. Combined use with zidovudine can cause nephrotoxicity, manifested as deep lethargy and fatigue. 2. Competitively inhibits the secretion of organic acids with probenecid. Combined use of probenecid will slow down the excretion of this product, extend the half-life, and accumulate the drug in the body.

Precautions

1. People who are allergic to ganciclovir may also be allergic to this product. 2. People who are dehydrated or have liver or kidney dysfunction should use it with caution. 3. Long-term or repeated use of this product in patients with severe immune deficiency may cause herpes simplex virus and herpes zoster virus to become resistant to this product. If the skin lesions of patients with herpes simplex do not improve after using acyclovir, the sensitivity of the herpes simplex virus to this product should be tested. 4. Follow-up examination: Since most patients with genital herpes are susceptible to cervical cancer, patients should be examined at least once a year for early detection. 5. Once symptoms and signs of herpes appear, medication should be administered as soon as possible. 6. Eating has no obvious effect on blood drug concentration. However, the patient should be given sufficient water during administration to prevent this product from settling in the renal tubules. 7. Recurrent herpes infection of the genitals is effective with intermittent short-term therapy. Since animal experiments have found that this product has an impact on fertility and is mutagenic, the oral dosage and duration of treatment should not exceed the recommended standards. Long-term therapy for reproductive and recurrent herpes should not exceed 6 months. 8. One hemodialysis can reduce the blood drug concentration by 60%, so a dose should be replenished after hemodialysis. 9. This product has no obvious effect on latent infection and recurrence of herpes simplex virus and cannot eradicate the virus.

Adverse reactions

Occasionally, dizziness, headache, joint pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, loss of appetite, thirst, decreased white blood cells, mild increase in proteinuria and urea nitrogen, skin itching, etc. Occasionally, acne and insomnia may occur after long-term administration. , menstrual disorders.
